Blood
paints my knuckles.
Staring,
at the fragments on the frame.
Back
into place the pieces go.

Cuts
on my fingers.
Trying
to remove the pigeonhole,
To
fix it.
Heal
not what’s on the outside,
but the perception of the exterior.

Eyes
choose what they identify.
See
the distortion that exists
Even
on a perfect mirror.
The
shards seem to make it look less
Broken.
