The dreaming orchard, the mother trees

In the orchard

In the apple trees

Hanging there on borrowed blankets

Cradled in the trees embrace

I’m not really sleeping

I want to

But I know the tree will grow tired and let me fall to the ground

Severed like ripe fruit

I never truly rest

I don’t need to

I come to dream
