“If a boy is mean to you, he likes you.”
This is the worst advice a girl could receive.
Her future will consist of confusion between love and hate.
Constantly making herself believe:
“That time that he screamed at me, don’t worry it just means that he likes me.”
And then when she’s grown up,
And a man is not treating her right,
Is she supposed to just assume that it is clouded with love?
Telling a girl that with hate comes love,
Is trying to hide all of the hatred,
But the world is a cruel place.
Where “boys will be boys” and

World
Is
That
Love.
The world is a place where husbands, and boyfriends, and sons, and fathers,
Could be liars and frauds.
Trying to hide that by making excuses will never succeed.
Helping your daughters adjust constantly instead of teaching your sons,
Is just feeding into the cruelty that is our world.
