I sit down on the gray couch,
with a warm cup of cider
cupped in my hands.
I slowly pull my blue quilt over me
a smile slowly forms on my face,
as I gaze out the window.
Kiki jumps up to lie on my lap,
I smile down at him enjoying his company.
I breathe in the warm cinnamon scent,
glad that summer has formed into fall.
