Thoughts of the Mind

Emotional well-being is to be able to manage emotions and deal with life’s challenges. Some ways it can be improved is by eating healthy and exercising regularly. Laughing is also a way to improve emotional well-being. For example, you can play sports and it can help with your emotional well-being. If you are feeling overwhelmed with stress, anxiety, sadness, or depression, you should try to seek help.

To improve your emotional well-being, you can talk to a trusted person like family or friends. For my school district, Fremont Unified School District, every school has a school counselor for students to talk to. On the back of our school ID, there are a lot of phone numbers that students can reach out to. You can practice exercising and meditating, seeking a therapist or counselor for professional therapy, doing hobbies that you enjoy. You can also utilize online resources like finding support groups, downloading apps, and visiting websites that offer mental health tools and information. For example, at school, we learned about how to tell when somebody needs help. Teens often use social media to express their feelings, so you can use it to determine whether or not they are going to do something dangerous and you can also report people anonymously so nobody knows who did it and update them when something improves or gets worse. If somebody needs help, you can get them to go to a mental facility or someone you can trust.
