Every second of every day, a new idea is formulating in a technician’s mind somewhere around the globe. Due to modern advancements, it does not take long for these ideas to take physical shape and eventually reach my country.

Modern advances in technology have allowed us to progress as a community; we can stay in touch with each other and know what is going on in each other’s lives, which is perhaps the most important thing for a civilization to thrive. These advances are also being built upon by locals, who are replicating new technology to make their own.



However, there are those who have used these advances to their advantage and others’ detriment. They continue to utilize new features to perform harmful tasks; many children have been kidnapped through their phones, robbers have been able to keep tabs on their next targets, stalkers have become more dangerous. 

So, it is safe to say that my community has absorbed the positive effects of modernization and is developing on them, but also faces many dangers which will continue to increase with time.

My community has many divisions within it. Personally, I think my circle moves at a fast pace. It is not this pace, but the difference it has established amongst different circles of my community that affects me. Following the people around me, I try to approach life with the determination to tackle any obstacles I encounter, preventing them from barring my way. However, seeing how people from other social circles in my community are moving at a slow pace, I often tend to slow down as well. I believe that we need to establish a balance: a pace that all social circles of a society can match. Only then can we truly progress and only then can the modern advances in our community have a good impact on us as a whole.
