My marathon community encourages and motivates me to be ambitious and go after my dreams. Life is like a marathon. The end goal is to feel like you have achieved something that makes you proud after all the hard work you put into it.
Marathons challenge me to keep running and running until everyone finishes running about 42.2 kilometers. Marathons are hard and not as easy as people think they are. You need to be very determined and committed to be able to run a marathon. Endurance is one of the most important things you need in order to participate in marathons. Running a marathon encourages me to never give up easily. It teaches me that if I want something, I need to work hard for it. Even though it might be hard at the beginning of the run, at the end it feels amazing.
When I feel stressed or overwhelmed, I will go for a run. Whether I’m running outside or on a treadmill, running cures my anxiety. Every time I start running, I feel peace in myself. When I run everything in my mind clears out. I feel like there’s nothing inside of me, nothing to worry about, and all my problems disappear. I am living in my own world of blankness.
Sometimes running by itself will not solve my problems and anxiety, but with music, time flies in the blink of an eye. I can feel the wind blowing on me, which is the best feeling ever. I will never not be excited by the feeling of running and listening to my favorite music and podcasts.
Marathons motivated me to be ambitious by finding the solution of how to keep myself sane. They made me realize that running is the best thing I could ever do. The thing I will love the most for the rest of my life. I will always remember my first marathon.
