I decided to create a watercolor piece encompassing the nostalgia that comes with growing up. I used bright pink shades to symbolize memory and happiness, and chose to write ‘cake’ on top of the cake to highlight the irony that comes with growing up so fast but wishing we could have stayed younger in those moments for a little bit longer.”
