Mariko Hirakawa, D. Ayu., B.A.M.S., is based in New York City, and has been teaching Yoga since 1992. In 2003, Mariko received a full scholarship to study Ayurveda, India’s holistic healing science, at Gujarat Ayurved University. She is one of the very few residing in the West to have completed the 5 ½ year B.A.M.S. (Bachelor of Ayurvedic Medicine and Surgery) degree program in India.
